BREAKFAST

Cafe Wallner

Great cafe with a huge selection of brioches, cookies, cakes and savory dishes as well. Closed on Mondays. Here you can taste pastries from the whole Italy! But there are great small bars for your breakfast on every street at a lower price.

Other bars for breakfast:

  • Pasticceria De Rossi

  • Cafe degli Artisti

  • Pasticceria Pradaval

and many bars in the San Zeno Square!

Italians are sweet breakfast lovers so a typical breakfast is a lot like French, croissant with a coffee. If you want a fresh start in the morning have a glass of SPREMUTA, a fresh orange juice from our fresh Italian oranges which in the summer time are at their best!

BRUNCH ALLERT

If you're sleepyheads like ourselves, there's always brunch!

We don't have many of them in Verona but there are two recent places that are absolutely amazing!

  • Ziga BarIt's a 100% vegetarian bar but you can have delicious breakfast/brunch or lunch there.

NB! It's closed on Mondays though!

  • Elk BakeryThere are two of them, one right by the Juliet's balcony, the other near Ponte Vittoria. It has an American vibe but the locals love it. It has pancakes, omlets, cakes and all you need.

LUNCH AND DINNER

You might not be aware but Verona is famous for gnocchi. However, you can eat more than that in Verona. There is also risotto all’Amarone (with red wine), bigoli (thick spaghetti) and in this region, a horse meat stew is very common.

  • Mi Scusi (vegetarian alternatives)

Pasta time! This place makes only pasta but wow, it's amazing. It's also eco friendly and has a low impact food!

  • La Griglia

While this spot is known for its steaks I actually go there for a truffle fettuccini served in a bowl made of cheese. What more can I say...

  • Bella Napoli

This spot isn’t particularly fancy, as it feels more like a casual old Italian bar, but their pizza is delicious.

  • La Lanterna (vegan)

Whether you’re actually vegan or not I highly recommend a dinner at La Lanterna. Their menu is fully vegan and changes every month. Closed on Tuesday.

  • Flower Burger (vegan)

It’s quite new but it’s a great place for vegans and non! The place has a young atmosphere and colourful burgers!

  • Re Teodorico

Once you climb to the viewpoint you can also stop by for a drink or snack.

  • Alla Colonna

Their specialties are huge schnitzels with amazing toppings! No man has finished the Maxi Cotoletta, can you?

  • Corte Farina Ristorante Pizzeria

One of you wants a pizza and another one pasta? No worries, this place has it all! Lovely and a simple place to try many local food and enjoy it close to the town center.
